Ireland: Inquiry Into Drinking Laws
Justice Minister Brian Lenihan said he would set up an advisory group to examine current laws on the sale and consumption of alcohol and report back to him by March 31. “We have a problem with binge drinking in this country, and it is clear that this problem is adding to public disorder,” he said. He said he wanted the panel to look into the increase in the number of supermarkets, convenience stores and gas stations selling alcohol; the regulations that allow pubs to keep longer hours; and the effectiveness of existing penalties for under-age alcohol consumption.

He llegado hasta aquí de rebote: la puta vida de Iced me llevó hasta el bar más raro que me trajo hasta Dublín. No puedo resistirme a escribir sobre esta canción. Estuve viviendo en Naas (Co. Kildare) durante 6 meses, como au-pair. En ese tiempo me enamoré de un Irlandés y también de Irlanda. El amor por el "guiri" duró lo que dura el verano, pero el amor por Irlanda aún perdura, y es de esos que nunca se olvida. Bueno, a lo que iba. A mi la canción de Molly no me recuerda a las borracheras, realmente me enternece mucho porque fue la primera que me enseñaron mis niños de Naas. Bueno, para despedirme debo ser sincera: te envidio. Te envidio muchisimo... pero eso no va a impedir que te siga de cerca, un saludo.
